My Mom is so sweet, she knows we rarely get family pictures, and if we do, it's because we asked! So before the kids even thought about tearing into their gifts, she offered to take a picture. Here we are in all our morning glory:)
Ella and Dawson have been asking me for a Pillow Pet for months. Seriously, months. They are obsessed. Ella started sounding like an info-mercial: "they're pillows and they're pets!" Needless to say they were stoked to see their Pillow Pet of choice on Christmas morning. Ella announced later that day when she read the tag "can you believe this, they're even washable?! You can wash them!"

Love this picture of Ella. Look at those adorable teeth, luckily fangs are in thanks to the Twilight series:)
All Dawson asked for, for his birthday and Christmas - a Play Doh ice cream maker
Stocking stuffers are so much fun! Just like my Mom, I painstakingly wrap the tiniest of treasures.
Mitch and Mitch, I never get tired of these 2 in pictures together
Pillow Pet abduction
Yo Ho!
Mitchy was so funny. When we started passing out gifts, he'd go over to someone's pile, grunt and try to lift their gifts and drag them back under the tree. He was so confused. All he knew was that for weeks he'd been told "no" every time he touched a present, and now everyone was engaging in this naughty behavior. Not only touching the presents, but ripping the paper! So he finally figured out that it was okay to rip open the gifts only to be confused again. There was a pile of gifts for family members that weren't there, and he couldn't figure out why he was being told "no" again when he tried to open those ones. Poor guy.
How does this thing work?
We bought one of these as a birthday gift and the babies kept trying to get it out of the box, and they'd carry it around and hug it. So I bought them one for Christmas, a cute little light-up, lullaby-singing seahorse. Mitchy nickers like a horse when he holds it:)
We got Dawson an Easy Bake Oven. I know, I know, he's a boy. And the picture on the box is of 3 girls using this contraption. But he loves to help me cook and bake, and who knows, maybe he'll be the world's next great pastry chef.
There's that umbrella I got for her at Disneyland. Sigh...Disneyland....
My Mom made the kids the cutest chef's hats and aprons, adorable!
My parents got Dawson these 2 robots and Ella set up a tea party for them. That is so Ella, she does something girly like a tea party, but it's with a police man and fire man robot duo. Of course Papa was invited to the tea party but only if they served coffee instead of tea:)I got the twins a puzzle with all sorts of locks and buckles. My Dad asked me "why would give them something that will teach them how to open locks, won't that be a problem?" Good point.
Ninny and Mitchy
Dawson was such a turkey at dinner time. He was exhausted and decided that he couldn't possibly eat at the little table, he wanted to eat at the big table. So after some very obnoxious behavior he finally came down stairs and was ready to change his attitude. Or so we thought...

That sea horse is cool because it acts as a night light when Maggie is being high maintenance...who are we kidding she always is but especially for those times;) Glad you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
