Murphy's Law

We were supposed to leave for Seattle tomorrow. After 7 months of Charlie's "episodes" and no luck getting any solid answers from the pediatric neurologists in town, our pediatrician set us up to go to Children's Hospital on the coast. And apparently all we needed was to actually make an appointment, because a few weeks after it was set, he started showing some signs that things are finally improving. Murphy's Law. We are thrilled and relieved, now there's some light at the end of the tunnel! Maybe he will outgrow this after all, whatever "this" is. After all the hoops we've jumped through and years shaved off my life watching Charlie go through this, I guess getting him scheduled at Children's in Seattle, making hotel reservations, coordinating visits with friends, having my parents take time off to meet us there to watch the other kids while we are at his appointments, and having Todd take vacation time from was all we needed. I talked to the kids' doctor and let him know we postponed the appointments, he agreed it was a good idea to see if things keep improving or go away completely, but he didn't want us to cancel our trip completely. So for now it's rescheduled for June, and we'll probably head over there regardless since we have some friends and fam we really want to see. It would be a fun little get away for the babies' 1st birthday. And what a great gift it would be if that marked the end of this whole ordeal for our little guy.

If you DO have to go to the Neuro at Children's (in Bellevue), it will be worth it. My son has had to go to Dr. Bamford and he's wonderful!
